Before jumping into all the spicy details, let me tell you a bit more about the story. I do generally like books by this author so I’m hoping this one was just a bad batch. Unfortunately, it came out to be extremely problematic and I was not impressed. It was presented to me as a very dark romance. Me being a lover of bully romances and having read quite a few Penelope Douglas’ books, I was quite intrigued when I read the description of this. And now every last one of her nightmares will come true. Because you see, three years ago she put a few of my high school friends in prison, and now they’re out. The opportunity is too good to be true as well as the timing. Until my brother leaves for the military, and I find Rika alone at college. I can always feel the fear rolling off of her, and while I haven’t had her body, I know that I have her mind.
